Sherlock 2.3
Stories. Stories stories stories stories. I will never tire of stories about stories. (<- It was this or keyboard smash.)
ETA: Miss M's comment: "Wow. That was... something. [pause] The Great Game isn't my favourite any more. Which is a shame, but..."
(The Great Game is still Impish Girl's favourite, because it's funny.)
ETA2: Love that Irene's story was TOTALLY foreshadowing for Sherlock's. Mirrorssssssssss. Mirrors are GOOD.
(At this point I could bring in Doctor Who and how Moriarty is obviously the Master (and oh, how DELICIOUS was the scene in the flat where they had tea?) and Irene is obviously River (or Romana? Anyway, woman who is his equal, but not batshit crazy), but it seems rather obvious, so I won't. *g*) (Although, of course, the Master was brought in back in the day specifically to be the Doctor's Moriarty. EVERYTHING is neat and mirror-y.)
Also, 'You can't kill an idea' and 'Lying with the Truth' and the whole thing about controlling stories and Fairy Tales and... STORIES, dammit.
Plus, look! The writer that everyone [in fandom] decided was rubbish wrote a brilliant episode! *points to previous post*
And Molly. ♥ ('Please. Help me.' Oh Moffat.)
ETA3: Link to Watson's blog. VERY SPOILERY.

Plus, oh god yes, Sherlock/Moriarty is totally Doctor/Master, but again that's something I grew up knowing. *g*

It's funny how the two stories have paralleled each other, because it's co-incidence rather than planning. :)

And now we can all argue about which pairing is gayer... ;)

It was fascinating. And YES MIRRORS. (Also, more foreshadowy than the both ominous and slightly LOL hanging dummy at the beginning.)
BUT ULTIMATELY I AM JUST BROKEN BY JOHN WATSON'S SADFACE.
Thought you might like this...
