Parents not arriving on Monday, as I thought (which left me with the weekend to sort things out), but IN AN HOUR AND A HALF!!!!

See you... whenever.

ETA: My parents are *lovely* people btw, I just... wasn't prepared. Although on the plus side, EVERYONE is now madly rushing around tidying. That... never happens. Usually it's just me.

ETA2: Apparently you CAN make a house look presentable in 1 1/2 hours. Who knew?

I shouldn't laugh, but that really is kind of funny. Also exactly the kind of thing my folks would do; they once showed up at my door without calling because they "didn't want to disturb me". This makes less sense that you'd think; they lived 300 miles away at the time. I told them that if I let them in they weren't allowed to criticize my house housekeeping.
