Scientists Discover a Diamond as Big as a Planet.

No really.

(Many thanks to Petzi for the link.)

River would find some way to steal it

In fact, it's probably every diamond River has ever stolen mashed together. Where better to store something than in orbit around a star?

It would thoroughly piss off the Doctor, who would reprimand her for stealing, then try and out-do her

Hahaha yes<3

I love that even random science articles can be turned into something about River and the Doctor. This is why I can never stop loving them.

Boom di yadda, boom di yadda...

I thoroughly concur, the universe is just awesome.

This reminds me that I need to visit the Hubblesite soon to geek out over new images they've found.

I remember seeing that article pop up in one of my blogs, but there were two others that also reminded me of the Whoniverse

Researchers discover possible water on Mars which obviously made me think DON'T DRINK THE WATER, don't let it touch you, just get far far away.

And then there is this: Scientists Discover coldest Darkest stars Ever found. If you read the article, "cold" is relative obviously, because for a star 80 F is very cold, but still when I read "coldest star" you know where my mind goes.

Diamond planets, traffic jams that go on forever, cold stars. Maybe scientists should start studying Doctor Who. :D
