I've had trouble keeping up on line consistently because it's summer here and I've been hiking and biking and been drawn outside every free moment and then when I wasn't doing that, I was writing that 11K piece for the ficathon.
I remember you talking about all the summer-y activities, but writing fic on top of that? I'm surprised that you're here at all! :)

Also, I look forward to you reading my story. You're right; it's long and I understand that can be a little off-putting.
Oh not offputting! Just frustrating since I want to read it asap, and have to tell myself to wait! Like waiting to open a present.

This is entirely mutual! And you've got lots of stories I've not read yet (am rather busy at the moment myself, and when I have time, I need to work on my own stuff. The fic from the other day was a bit of a surprise actually, and I need to get back to my WIP... /o\)
