Can it be Saturday, please?

Life is... far too busy (and generally blah-inducing), but this spoiler-free review (except the title) of the next episode of DW is making me all flaily.

Also HELLO to everyone's who's recently friended me! *waves* Have a cuppa and make yourselves at home. :)

The title alone is flail-inducing!

And WHOA the review makes it sound incredible. Saturday, now please! Gaiman Doctor Who ♥

breathtaking in its cinematic scope

This is something I've felt true of Moff's run in general compared to the RTD years.

Proof that constraints tend to do good things for creativity--in particular, it seems to have forced them to be very judicious in their use of CGI.

Plus there's definitely been that conscious aesthetic shift. Say what you will about the technicolor cartoon-y look of the RTD years, but that was something they chose.

The sickbay did look pretty nice, considering. Rest of the ship not so much, but if they're going to cut corners, might as well do it there!

ETA: By the way, 'tricksy Doctor' made me almost break something in delight. Are they going out of their way to hit ALL my kinks?
Yup. Better send them a fruit basket or something :) (I rather liked the way TIA/DotM was edging towards that--mysterious, clever, a bit dark.)

I'm so excited about this episode I can't even express. (Personally, I'd be happy to see Gaiman on a more regular run with the show, but I doubt that'll happen).

*grins* Nice icon.

Yep. I'm one of those people who think that Gaiman is going to be solidly classed into the Enduring Works category years from now. His storytelling is just so... rich, multi-faceted. (I have a touch of hero worship, I know)

I love Neil Gaimen. I've been waiting for this episode since I heard he was writing it; so for a couple of years now!

Hallo! *waves* I'm one of those recent frienders. I figure anyone who can write "Day of the Moon" meta that makes sense is worth a good listen. :)

As for this upcoming episode, I am SO EXCITED! The sooner Saturday happens, the better.

I am SO EXCITED for this episode - and that review got me even more amped up. I am instantly an effervescence of excite every time I think about this show at all.
