A fic rec for *everyone*!

So, you know how there's a lot of good fic out there, right? And some of it is funny, and some of it is angsty, and some of it is epic, and some of it has exquisitely drawn characters, and sometimes you find one that's all of these and it's amazing.

And then sometimes, every once in a very long while, you find a story that reminds you why there's this whole thing called 'storytelling' in the first place.

This fic is one of those rare gems. And what's more, it's AU. Not just AU in the normal 'characters we love in a different setting', but an AU that actually creates its own mythology, which means that you don't need to know Doctor Who at all in order to read it.

Timeless Dreams by [livejournal.com profile] cinderbella333.

Summary: "Every story is his story." A retelling of the Doctor and River Song's romance with magic and iPads.

I honestly can't recommend it enough. ETA: What I want to do is to jump up and down and shout 'ZOMG YOU NEED TO READ THIS!', except it's not a jumping, shouting kind of fic. It's elegant and lyrical and draws from legends and fairy tales and is just beautiful, in the way of a deep, still pool. *deep sigh*

I highly approve of this style of pimping. I know I'm inclined to compare it to "Stories We Tell Our Children."

Thank you so much for all the wonderful things you have said about my work! I am overwhelmed. I can't thank you enough. The fact that you enjoyed my story enough to recommend it to others means a lot to me.
