Last day of the holidays...
My house, this morning. All three girls are on the sofas in front of the TV, playing on the Wii.
Me: OK, girls. Time to get up, have some breakfast and get dressed. And then you can tidy your bedrooms!
Miss M [deadpan]: You make it sound like a *present*!
Me: It is a present - you'll get tidy rooms!
Miss M: *unintelligible*
~~~
I can't wait for tomorrow...
(They have tidied btw. A bit. You can see the floor now.)
Oh, Miss M. <3
She's currently raking leaves in the garden, to earn some pocket money. This is surprisingly hard, she's discovered. >:)
Chicklet has about the same attitude towards room cleaning.
Me: Let's clean! Won't that be great!
*we clean*
Me: Doesn't that look better?
Chicklet: No! I liked it messy!
I love them to pieces, but OMG the joy of an empty house is hard to explain...
Chicklet: No! I liked it messy!
LOL! Mine do agree that it's better when it's tidy, yet this is sadly not a motivating factor at all.
