About Delicious.

This post has good links, plus the LJer is trying to think productively.

Also this post.

I'm sure the comments are full of stuff too.

And in the comments to the original whistle-blowing post there are links to a facebook campaign, plus more links to useful alternatives.

ETA: It's going to be OK, guys!!

(Yahoo are filthy people. We shall speak of them no more!)

I want to think positively, but am grumpy. And I broke the handle of my Spike multi-pairings mug. :( It's fixable (if I can find the superglue), but it's not helped matters...

Changed my layout, which cheered me a little - Eleven in a Santa hat is an unfailing source of cheer. Almost.

ETA: More attempts at cheer:

And via Sullivan, an article that has to be read to be believed: The gays stole the rainbow. Really, there is not enough facepalming in the world... (Although I'm pleased that my tag is so appropriate.)

I read the article and all I have to say is people are stupid. (SIGH) But I do love your picture, it gave me a chuckle.

do you know, i was just thinking a few days ago about how the gays stole the rainbow! thank you, gays, for allowing me to proudly display rainbows in every day use despite the fact that i am past the age of ten.

This "article"... using this respectable noun for this load of absolute BS is giving it too much credit as writing an article actually supposes some real thinking and analysis.

Yeah, I can totally see how “same sex marriage will marginalize men from the family” and “increase the power of the state over civil society.” That makes total sense! Really!!! Is angry!

Dear gays and NOM: All UR Rainbows R Belong to US*. Signed, The Irish

* except the ones that make up rainbow bridges. We ceded those out to Asgard.

The Rainbow article could come straight out The Onion.

"The gay lobby does not own the rainbow."

Yes, with the added implication that anti-Marriage Equality groups somehow do...

(I don't have a rainbow icon so my birthday cupcake will have to do)

If the latest doctoreleven post doesn't cheer you, you are literally uncheerable.

It seems to defy all laws of nature, but I think I am ok with that :D

You can't break the laws of science, but we can be civilly disobedient with them.

And old favorite from old podcasting favorite Tiki Bar TV--they liked to talk about "science" in authoritative but ridiculously vague fashion =D

New news: apparently del.icio.us has responded--Yahoo's going to try to sell, not planning to shutter the site. They've updated the TechCrunch article.

Hee :-) I'm pretty sure you won any gif exchange with that first volley anyway--that's a keeper for sure, lol.

LOL, love that picture.

American Family News Network’s OneNewsNow that the rainbow should be the symbol of Prop 8 supporters and Religious Right activists because "the rainbow is a sign of God's covenant with man."

What? Since when? And where have they been for the last thirty years?

Ah too late - kind of. Now I have a back-up. :)
(I just have to remember to back-up again so the other stays up to date too.)
Even better if it stays, I'm used to it and would miss it a lot.

*nods* That why I'm using Xmarks (both for my IE + FF).
And guess what, I've got an email yesterday saying that LastPass acquired Xmarks. First I've heard that they were sold or in danger to shut down.

There seems to be something in the air that the bookmarks seems to be in danger ....

Having almost lost my computer I'm glad to have a backup plan for my bookmarks, even more now with the other sites that are available too. Didn't know of them.
