Day Fnarg.
My muse returned! \o/ I actually *wrote* stuff last night - specifically the big argument that I know I've needed since I began thinking about how this story would unfold, but that I never quite knew how would work, and now I've got it! (It's a GOOOOOOOD argument, oh yes. It fills me with glee. Just wait!)
Anyway, reading through the first chapter - well the first half of the first chapter, I think I'll have to split it into two it just THAT long - I began to have a definite sense of how to craft it. Not sure that's quite the right term, but I don't know how to explain it - that thing where you look at half-finished stuff and know where you want it to go, and how it'll all hang together. Fixing all the maybes into place. Seeing the statue in the block of marble. That kinda thing. And it's lovely. :)
And just by the way, do other people keep an 'extras' document with all the bits they cut out of their fics - or is that just me? I just hate the idea of losing something that might come in useful later.

Yay!!!

Oh, it is SUCH a wonderful feeling when something you've been needing to write for a while finally comes together!!!

I know exactly what you mean, and that is a perfect description, and it is lovely indeed!!! I am so glad!!!!

I am so glad it is all coming together!!!!!

Isn't it just? And especially when it's something pivotal (like this argument is) and you've been worrying that the characters won't do what you want them to... And then they do! :)

Yay! \o/ Instead of running away in different directions all the different things are getting together. I love it. :)
It's not just you - I do that too!!!
OH GOOD! Thinking about it, then it's a little like Penny - the Companion That Never Was? I might re-write a scene completely, but I want to keep the original, the part that didn't happen, because I want to remember that it could have...
I am so glad it is all coming together!!!!!
Awww, thank you! *squish*

"I was a fine upstanding member of the Guard before you came along and corrupted me!"
"You enjoyed it!"
"That's not the point!"
"It is, live a little."
"What about him? *points at fallen body*"
"He lived a little you should live a lot. Specific enough?"

And I hope you're doing OK btw? I meant to comment on that post, but life's been way too busy recently...

And oh, I know what it's like. Back when Darcy and I met, we had to split up for a while (not break up - but we were stuck in different countries) and it was so, so, so painful. We lasted a month, and then I came to England permanently.

*beams* It's coming together nicely. :)
In my brain, it now just feels wrong when I read an older Buffy-fic and The Immortal isn't Jack!
Same here! Heck I've even thought of going back to edit 'Maybe Someday' - wouldn't take much...
