So. First day of school. Which meant the Cherub's first day of school. And Miss M's first day in High School/secondary School. Which means that all of my children are at school. All day!
And I have A WHOLE DAY TO MYSELF. And tomorrow I'll have another one. And then another one, and another one... *tries to comprehend this fact*
Mind you, I'm now going to have to look for a job ('cause money would be nice), but for a short while I'll have TIME. Wonderful, blissful time...
::looks at house::
And yeah, I'm gonna need it.
Anyway, just wanted to mark this moment. (The Cherub was adorableness incarnate in her uniform - there might be photos later - but she's definitely ready. She didn't even notice when Darcy and I left, she was already that absorbed. *sniff*)

Aww, that brings back memories. K was like that. M, however, used to chase me across the school playground in the mornings screaming "Mummy! Come ba-ack!"

And it's good not to be alone. However I shall now go tackle at least *some* of the mess - I'm almost looking forward to it. Just to be able to DO something without being interrupted over and over...

Or maybe I'm just getting old...

The Cherub will be 5 in a couple of weeks' time. And Miss M is 11 1/2...
Or maybe I'm just getting old...
Aren't we all?

And did you see this? Probably the longest, most indepth and well-written meta on the RTD years of DW/TW that'll ever be written!
(Also I posted fic yesterday, for when you want a distraction. *g*)

Wow! That must certainly feel weird! No wonder you wanted to mark the occasion. I've no doubt you'll soon get used to it, though; esp. when that job comes along...Good luck!

She didn't even notice when Darcy and I left, she was already that absorbed. *sniff* It's better like this. Imagine what state you would be in if she had a good cry seeing you leaving.

I'm sure I will! *clings to peace and quiet*

Oh absolutely - she's usually been good at being left, so we weren't too worried. :)

Also Miss M, hello! Good luck with secondary school! My little cousin, also a gem, it's her first year too, and she's loving it. Bet you will too. *hug* -- your fangirl x

Thank you! And she had a wonderful day and loved everything. :)
And many greetings from Miss M! She, too, had a great day, although now she's got a toothache, poor thing.

Can it really be that long ago? Gosh!

I know! Feels... very strange, to be honest. And a long time ago. ETA:

I sometimes wonder where the people go, who just seem to stop posting. You don't notice immediately, then think 'I haven't seen X for a while'...

Can't make myself delete it, even though I only use it very rarely.

And oh, I can see the problems with having someone there always.
