I ::heart:: my little girl!

The Cherub is having a birthday party for her little friends tomorrow. Since it is a Dress Up Party, I asked her what she's going to dress up as. Her response?

"A fighting princess. Like Princess Leia, when she was shooting at stuff!"

I'm very proud. ♥

(This reminds me that our DVD player broke at the beginning of the summer. When we got a new one a few weeks ago, my daughters wanted to watch Star Wars - the original movies, obviously - Red Dwarf and Invader Zim. I love my family.)

Is Cherub going to have a cool laser gun to go with her Fighting Leia costume?

You have the coolest family!

Oh, I adore your family! And the Cherub! I can't imagine a better princess to look up to than Leia!

:)

When my kids went to dress up parties, I used to cheat and dress them in one of their Indian outfits and tell them to say they were Indian princesses.

Bet you could buy them outfits easily enough if you went to Bradford, and a lot cheaper than princess outfits from the Disney shop. :)

LOL! I love the cherub. I seem to remember arguing with my friend Josh when we were kids about the same thing. I always wanted to be Han Solo when we were playing Star Wars.

Okay. That is AWESOME. Gotta love the little girl who doesn't necessarily stick to the conventions of being a little girl.

May she continue to grow up that way, lord knows there aren't enough girls like that out there.
