It's nice to see a former pupil doing the right thing! (Yes, I really did teach Jacquie Hunt as she then called herself, back in the early 80s.) How neat! :D
Yay! Oh for some more Captain John now... LOL! I was hoping for Alonso, but either would be fine!
Hmmm. Well if Torchwood has only just been commissioned, then it'll probably be quite a while before they start filming. (Alonso could maybe guest star? Help out his ex-partner in some wonderful deus ex machina fasnion? I mean, ol' Rusty would totally go there!)
though I suppose that's why God made the internet... Heee! Indeed. :D
I'm hoping for what's her name from "CoE". This could be promising! Thanks to the ABUNDANCE of kick-ass female characters I'm not sure who you mean! :)
I am so relieved about this. So much better than Foxwood (it will actually have teh gay!) *nods a lot*
also I can't go on nerding without my Captain Jack fix. I know how you feel...
I hope RTD keeps writing for this. He did such a good job with CoE. If people keep him on his toes, he's magnificent. Although I hope they allow some of the crack back in. *crosses fingers*
That is a kickass icon. I got kathyh to make it for me after CoE, since I wanted to honour all the brilliant, strong female characters we were given. Free to a good home, provided you credit Kathy! :)
Maybe we'll get both? Although Lois is more likely, given the way she was set up as the new Ianto. (*sob*) I'll try not to hold it against her, we need more awesome black women on our TV screens.
Except... the choice of television networks has pretty thoroughly guaranteed that I will be watching the next series of Torchwood on my rather pitiful computer, either via YouTube or, assuming I can acquire the files and get them to play, illegal download. :-(
It still astonisheses me that I live in the country that makes my show... I used to be and Buffy & Angel fan, and have to wait MONTHS to see the episodes.
Although someone said that Starz show are almost instantly available on netflix. Would that be any good to you?
but it is a really cautious Yay. Same here! It's like... hurrah my show is coming back, and at the same time it'll not be my show at all. So I shall refer to it as New!Torchwood, to separate it from the old show. :)
Maayyy-be. I start a new job in late August, and I'm having a hard time predicting what my finances will look like. Netflix isn't worth the money for me *now*, but in the future (since this probably wouldn't air until late 2011, at the very earliest), maybe it will be.
(I actually have other reservations, too, but I mostly want to be happy because I do love Torchwood, and because JB is so endearingly overjoyed.)

I'm actually hoping that if they bring in anyone from COE it will be Bridget.
