The series has been commissioned by Controller BBC ONE, Jay Hunt, Controller BBC Drama,

It's nice to see a former pupil doing the right thing! (Yes, I really did teach Jacquie Hunt as she then called herself, back in the early 80s.)

Yay! Oh for some more Captain John now...

That is good news! Well, mostly; I don't subscribe to starz. though I suppose that's why God made the internet...

I'm hoping for what's her name from "CoE". This could be promising!

OMG YAY.

I really hope they have Lois. And Agent Johnson.

I am so relieved about this. So much better than Foxwood (it will actually have teh gay!) and also I can't go on nerding without my Captain Jack fix.

I hope RTD keeps writing for this. He did such a good job with CoE.

That is a kickass icon.

Hee! I meant Johnson, but Lois would be even better IMO!

According to [livejournal.com profile] kalichan you can get anything on Starz on Netflix pretty much right away, if worse comes to worst.

I am intruiged. I am want more Jack! But I am, I admit, cautious about getting invested.

Oooh-- good to know! I've seen that on netflix, but so far it's just been movies. Neat!

Lovely. Though when I found out about this the first thing that popped into my head was "now there are chances for Jack to fawn over Eleven!" XD

we'll see how it turns out.

Yay! :D

New Torchwood, yay!

Except... the choice of television networks has pretty thoroughly guaranteed that I will be watching the next series of Torchwood on my rather pitiful computer, either via YouTube or, assuming I can acquire the files and get them to play, illegal download. :-(

Excellent:)

I think that I'm in the Yay! camp but it is a really cautious Yay.

I'm actually hoping that if they bring in anyone from COE it will be Bridget.

Maayyy-be. I start a new job in late August, and I'm having a hard time predicting what my finances will look like. Netflix isn't worth the money for me *now*, but in the future (since this probably wouldn't air until late 2011, at the very earliest), maybe it will be.

(I actually have other reservations, too, but I mostly want to be happy because I do love Torchwood, and because JB is so endearingly overjoyed.)
