Eurovision.

Blimey. Turkey was good. And Albania. And Iceland...

Now let's see what Ukraine has got for us this year! :)

Um... wow. What's with all these people who can actually sing?

I actually got the laptop out to say that someone ought to make a Nick Clegg/David Cameron vid to the UK song. (I'm NOT happy with a Conservative government btw, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate the bromance at the heart of the coalition... *g*)

...Apricot stone?

OMG Best interval 'entertainment' EVER!

Me no speak English! Let's speak dance! Flashmobs ftw!

Turkey is my favourite so far...but I must say that Greece made me laugh.

I kept thinking that 'apricot stone' must be some kind of euphenism for sex... which made the song much more interesting :D

I have voted this year for... Germany.

I liked Ukraine though.

This is what Deinin and I thought as it went along - it has become a sort of tradition that we discuss it live...

I didn't see much - yet ended up watching the vote at the end!

He's fun with the fashion snark, but that man knows nothing about music. This is usually just fine for Eurovision, but I could not believe he put Bjork and Katy Perry in the same sentence when describing the German entry.

(I did find it amusing though how much he sounded like he had the hots for the UK singer. And I know he's rooting for the home team and all, but how could he not take issue with the worst staging of the entire night? The kid may be talented, but that act was a hot mess and nothing fit together.)

That really was kind of surreal. The voting wasn't entirely political either! And I never expected Turkey or Greece to put forward an act I liked.

I'm glad Germany won, because I actually liked the song quite a bit. But, I'd totally give votes to a lady dressed up like a robot/power ranger wielding an angle grinder. :D

I remember that German entry. Eep! The one thing that's pretty much been a constant for as long as I've been voting has been how much I hated Greece and Turkey's entries.
