Vid:
Places by bookowl. What if the Doctor had never met Rose? How much more damaging would his relationship with Martha be if it was overshadowed by the death of Gallifrey? An AU look at series three.

Brilliant and chilling and tragic. I think I've rec'd it before, but for those who didn't watch it then - go now!

Fic:
and explode into space by roachpatrol. Ten/Rose, Impossible Planet AU. "I'll have to settle down. With a house or something - a proper house with... with, with doors and things - carpets! Me! Living in a house!... Now that, that - that is terrifying."

This fic is that rarest of things - a shippy fic that works whether you love or loathe pairing. (Not sure 'shippy' is the right word, to be honest...) Also it is incredibly disturbing, in the most understated and plausible way possible. A must-read.
