Being Human 2.05

Finally had time to watch this today, and the show continues to be awesome! :)

Herrick!!! Oh, how I've missed him. *happy sigh* Also I love, love, love Mitchell-flashback episodes, and this one was brilliant, giving us reams and reams of vampire info, interwoven with Josie's story. (Loved Josie! I'm so glad they got back to her, and now I want to go re-watch S1...)

The obvious parallels between Lucy and Josie were nicely done, although of course Lucy has ulterior motives and it's probably all going to end in tears... And how much did I love the D.I. (was he a D.I.? I can't remember. I'll just call him that, since I can't remember his name either.) continually trying to push Mitchell, and then getting more than he bargained for? I think that's the thing I love most about this 'verse - the soullessness. Mitchell is just Mitchell, his choices are his own, and he owns them. He tries to not kill, he rips out the D.I.'s throat when pushed too far, he begs for help, knowing that he can't do it alone.

(Not putting Spike & Angel down, I just like the difference.)

I wondered what they would do with Annie now she wasn't in danger of being dragged into the afterlife, and I rather liked what we got. Stuck in limbo forever, watching all the things she can't have... Also the idea of a ghost baby worked surprisingly well. :)

And George, George, George. *shakes head* It's all so very understandable, but oh, it'll definitely all end in tears. I hope Sam and Molly will be OK at the end. ('Running for the hills' was brilliant. ♥)

Must run, just had to show my appreciation. Wish I had time to write more, but this'll have to do!

Yes, the ghost baby was great!

I like Mitchell's story (the score rocked!) but I found the ghost baby stuff extremely creepy, much more disturbing than anything else we've seen.

Both Mitchel's and George's story has been brilliant. We can see each step they take down a dangerous, slippery slope and empathize with each step even as we know that this will have to end very badly. Brilliant.

You know I love Spike and Angel and the whole buffyverse like pancakes. But Mitchell and Being Human is such a different take on the whole idea of vampires; it's fascinating.

And George. Poor George. Really none of them are thinking their decisions though this week are they? No, not going to end well at all!

I love like burning that Mitchell is just Mitchell. Even if it means he's ultimately doomed, the fact that he tries is all the more impressive.
