I'm sure there was something else, but I can't remember... Oh! I finished My Immortal, in case there's someone who missed it?

I am loving DW so much, I imagine I could forgive TW for being terrible at the start. BUt, I have heard so many good things abvout TW that I will watch a good deal of it before giving up and I fully expect it to bloom into must-see material :)
Well TW is... TW. If you make it through S1, you should be OK, and there are upsides what with all the crack. The writers just went 'OMG *adult* DW' and went a little nuts on the sex and the angst. Oh and there's a lot of giant plotholes too. Even so, I bought it a while ago, when I saw it on sale! *pets show*
I wish I could watch it more quickly. I can only see 1 or 2 episodes on weeknights and 3 or 4 episodes on weekend nights. I am impatient to catch up, but I am seeing it much faster than everyone who watched one episode per week for only 3 months of the year!
That is true! :) And this year we got even less! (CoE - as you probably gathered - was a mini series shown over a week, and we're only getting 4 DW specials. 2010 can't come fast enough!)

As for TW, then I think it was a money thing, and when they found out that they only had a mini series RTD decided to do one long story... and the rest is history, as they say! *g* AMAZING TV. *flaily hands* Apparently there'll be a S4 (if the rumours are true), but I've no idea what the format will be. I think I'd prefer a mini-series again, to be honest.

Thanks for explaining all that. I think I am still too new to the series to figure out where to find out all the info about production and stuff. *sigh* I used to haunt so many BtVS sites. but, I have been out of the loop with fandom type stuff for a long time. I get all my news and information about movie and tv stuff from lj now.
I know I will miss Tennant, probably triply so once I get through the next two season worth of him, but I am kind of excited that there will be a new Doctor. Casting for a Doctor rarely goes wrong!
It is after 3am my time and I need to try to get some sleep. I am looking forward to reading your Immortal when I get through some more DW and TW! Hugs to you and your girls. oh, and I guess to Mr. Darcy as well!
goodnight

Indeed. And apparently he was very, very good. (I hear they're filming a movie version. I'll have to pre-order it from amazon!)
Thanks for explaining all that.
Hey, my pleasure. :) And I know what it's like... you need to know where to go - esp if you don't want to get spoiled. (LJ has been very good for that actually. I've been spoiled for several things to do with the Christmas specials, but from magazines!)

Same here! *clings* He just is the Doctor, y'know?

Apparently he completely wowed them with his audition, so... *crosses fingers*
Hope you get lots of good sleep! (I was wondering how late it was for you.) And there is SO MUCH fic out there, OMG. Most of them are shorter than mine though. *g* Lots of hugs to you and your family too! *squish*
Happy dreams,
