ETA: It also totally confirms my theory that season 8 is all a dream, which is becoming increasingly surreal. Sooner or later the cheese man will show up!

I'm not sure I'd say 'supposedly' since Buffy was right there watching the whole thing. But - hey, nightmare! Like running for the bus, naked. Just... a little differently.

As I said, I think all of s8 is just a dream, and she'll wake up in Rome with The Immortal, and he'll get her to tell him all about it. Especially the Spike/Angel parts. And then he'll try to find the pictures of when he had them chained up. :)
