Elections!

Happy voting to all my fellow Europeans! Sully linked to election jokes doing the rounds in Iran, and I found this one particularly apt considering the current political climate here in the UK:

"Between bad and worse, we choose bad and participate in the election."

Although this one (an e-mail joke) made me laugh more:

"The Election Commission has announced in its last statement regarding the election that writing names such as monkey, traitor, fascist, silly, and [expletive] on the ballots will be considered a vote for Ahmadinejad."

Nice to see that people are equally disenchanted with their governments everywhere.

The vote is on Sunday in France. Abstention will probably be very high, which is an absolute shame. I'm very angry with all the French politic parties ; they're not doing their job at all. Almost nothing in their respective electoral campaigns is really about Europe : you don't know what they really want for EU, domestic quarrels are so much more interesting and important to them. Really the lack of quality our politicians demonstrate is appalling.

EU is such a great dream and ambition and it's being put down by a group of morons.Fumes!

There was one who built a *moat* with taxpayers' money!

He was wiser than he knew. He'll need it to protect himself when the revolutionary mob comes around waving pitchforks. :-)
