Also - weeee, Star Trek! I'm glad you finally saw it. I'm still incoherent and bumbly and jumping up and down, even a few weeks after seeing it, and I'll be going for the 3rd time this weekend with some fans met online. But then I used to be Spock's fangirl when I watched it 15 years ago, so for me it was passion reignited, with all the power of being in fandom behind it. :) I highly recommend the original 60-s series - they had some outdated concepts (especially in regards to women), but it was so much fun and crack and such beautiful friendship between main heroes. It was the grandfather of all fandoms, after all. :)
