Eurovision yay!
From the post-finale press conference: The first question that was asked to Alexander Rybak was if the fact that he was born in Belarus helped him to win the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. He explained that Belarus is known for the melancholy of its people, whereas the happiest people in the world live in Norway. For him, the mix of both was a key for success.

ETA: It feels somehow *wrong* to genuinely like a Eurovision song (or songs in this case) - so, to remind everyone of the crack, here's Albania, Ukraine and Moldova (I kinda loved Moldova), to name a few.

Heeeeee! :D But he is cute... (Norway don't win very often - srsly, usually their songs are *appalling* - but I still love their song from 1995: Nocturne!)
