Eurovision!!!!!

OMG we're second!?!??! (ETA: Third now. WTF Turkey? ETA: Um, fifth? Oh, who cares. We got like *3* points in total last year... and the year before that... Oh wait, we're third again! Yay!)

And (although I'm missing Terry, obviously) Graham is doing rather well, I think. He's got the banter just right. *is pleased*

And I did vote for Norway, so I don't mind them winning (as they probably will) - esp since Norway can actually *afford* to put on a show - no recession there.

(France & Russia cracked us up btw, and Germany left us with that familiar feeling of 'What were they thinking?')

Iceland is of course proving Jeremy Clarkson's theory that Iceland has the most beautiful women [pause, drop voice a gear] in the world. (The song is good though, and she can sing!)

OK, I'd better hit 'post' - you wanna talk, drop me a comment! :)

ETA: WE GAVE 12 POINTS TO TURKEY????

Also - meant to say that Lenin must be spinning in his mausoleum... heh.

Final thoughts: I am SO PLEASED that Iceland came second! :) Yay! And were in the top 5. Blimey.

Norway were atrocious! I can't fathom the appeal of it at all! What is Europe thinking???

It was the mute button for me.

I kind of like Turkey (I tend to) but I feel guilty about it.

Graham Norton was excellent! I was discussing the whole thing in real time over on Deinin's journal here if you want to see what we thought of it....

Long as we didn't win, I'm happy. :-)

I must admit I voted for Norway and I thought Turkey's song had a touch of Shakira about it. I was just glad that the UK scored points after the last few years disasters. I though Jade did very well but I wasn't impressed by the song but there again I'm not a fan of Andrew Lloyd Webber.
