American politics on the other hand - well, it's The West Wing for reals... Except crazier. One of my cousin's husband is a retired GOP congressman (though I hear he's thinking of running for the senate; he's bored just being a regular human), and another cousin is married to GOP political strategist; it's bound to be topic of conversation.
