From all over my flist.
RIP Andy Hallet.
And only 33. I had no idea he was ill, although apparently it was not a secret. From what people are saying it sounds like he was just as friendly in RL as on screen, where he brought colour and life and music into the dark world of Angel. *is sad*
The other news item that I saw was that Alyson Hannigan gave birth to a daughter last week.

I can't say I'm impressed with the name of the Denisof baby.

I want to rewatch all of the Pylea arc now...

Same here.

And ... Satyana? Really, guys? It doesn't look a bit too much like you're trying to find the female form of Satan?

Personally it reminds me just a bit of this...
Still, I'm sure she's a lovely baby, and it's nice to have some good news on such a sad day.

I doubt it. :-) My first thought was that they were going for something close to Satyagraha, the "love force" or "soul force" Gandhi taught as his philosophy.
There's also a website called http://www.satyana.org/ which says satyana is Sanskrit for "vehicle for action infused with the grace of spirit" and that its aims are to promote "Power of Reconciliation, Leading with Spirit, Women’s Spiritual Mastery".
So in other words, Alyson and Alexis have just revealed thmselves as New Age hippies. :-)

And I've come to the conclusion that no celebrity should be allowed to name their own babies. However, I'm glad the baby arrived safe and healthy, and I'm very happy for Aly and Alexis.

It's also nice to hear a bit of good news about Alexis and Ally's baby. I was ambivalent about the name until I heard the meaning, which is kind of sweet.
Gah, there is too much bad news this week. I need it to be this weekend so I can go home and celebrate my Dodi's 90th b-day. I need happiness dammit! Since I can't find that, I'm going to go make a cake.

You know, I thought it was probably something like that. (Since they seem too cultured to go making it up a la Peter and Jordan.)
But thanks for the research!

Me neither. Lorne seemed so much older.
He really made AtS work for me.
It wouldn't have been the same without him!

Same here. And your icon is wonderful.
And I've come to the conclusion that no celebrity should be allowed to name their own babies.
There should be a law. Also, I'm hoping for pictures soon!

All those who met him have said how sweet he was.
It's also nice to hear a bit of good news about Alexis and Ally's baby.
I thought it would be nice to have something good to focus on too.
And I hope the birthday and cake come off without a hitch! *hugs*

The problem with the cake is that it is for someone's birthday, so I can't eat it. Luckily there will be extra frosting.
Thanks for the best wishes for the birthday. She is an amazing woman, and I think it will go well simply because the combined will power of her huge family refuse to allow anything to go wrong.

Sounds good to me. :)

Andy Hallett, a 33 year old actor from the television series Angel, died from cardiomyopathy in 2009, brought upon by a tooth infection five years earlier.
And it just makes me so damned mad that this happened to him. :-[
