And then onto why I vanished - under cut because I lack the talent for making my life sound anything other than utterly dull.
Well, there was The DIY Project That Wouldn't End (and has been going on since the summer), but that FINALLY did. Sort of. Ish. If I was a better LJer there'd be before and after pictures. However, I am bad, but be reassured that the house is a lot nicer than it used to be.
Added to this was parents visiting for a week, and then half term, which ended with me & [Little] Miss M going to Denmark for a funeral. (It was too expensive & awkward to go all of us, but she's 10 and very sensible, and proved herself a lovely travelling companion.) I might write about this in more detail at some point, if I can find the time...
Also, I am trying to get 'My Immortal' finished, and it is taking FOREVER. I'm past the half-way point of chapter 10 now, but (if my outline holds) there'll be 16 chapters in all + epilogue, and it is already 50,000 words long. *headdesk repeatedly* Why do I do this to myself?
Must go look after 3 y.o. and do some housework now. *sigh*

Aw thanks! I never planned on it getting this long, it just... grew. A lot.
Very excited and waiting to see what happens when everyone comes to meet the Immortal.
Well that'll happen in... *goes to check outline* chapter 13 and 14. And there's TGiQ to come first. (The writers did NOT make that easy to do from The Immortal's POV. But I've got something that works, thankfully.)
