Sometimes I wish I was a hermit.
Quite often actually. Not that I don't adore my family, but if I don't get enough peace&quiet&me-space I tend to not cope very well with life. And then I don't get anything done.
Which brings me to the point of this post - I'm going to disappear for a while! Because you, my dear friends, are entirely too addictive (so many interesting posts, so many recs, so much fun & entertainment - you're like a balm & a tonic at the same time). And I know from experience that there is no point in doing anything other than 100% avoidance of anything internet-related, because it is entirely too easy to get sucked in and before you know it time has just *vanished*... Especially at the moment, what with Obama doing AMAZING and FANTASTIC things every day - why can't I live in America? I want a sparkly unicorn too! ;) (Seriously, here is a list of all the stuff he got done in the first 100 hours. And for those wanting to keep tabs, there's The Obameter: Tracking Obama's Campaign Promises - this should be interesting to watch!)
Also I think that the trend for photoshopping Aretha Franklin's hat onto anyone and everyone is *brilliant* and long may it continue! :)
But - basically I need to concentrate on writing, since I'm getting nothing done and I *need* to. So - see you all once I've managed to finish at least one chapter of My Immortal, preferably two!
