Hello! Have almost finished the next chapter of My Immortal (I KNOW! How is that possible? It needs a lot of editing & stuff, but still... it's a fun chapter however and easy to write. Might be with you next week!), and have also come across some fannish goodies, so I though I ought to spread the happiness:

ubimod wrote Twilight, a s8/Twilight crossover that is making me bounce with happiness. (This is TOTALLY how s8 should end. *nods*) Less than 500 words, so you definitely have time to read it!

Then, speaking of Twilight, I feel obliged to link to cleolinda's Twilight in 15 minutes. Hilarious, and saves you buying a ticket!

Finally a Doctor Who/Torchwood vid rec: I Know Him So Well is the most perfect Jack/Doctor song & vid I've ever come across - and Jack (JB) singing it just adds that extra level of heartbreak ("Isn't it madness - he can't be mine."). Go watch!

(Oh and I got my copy of AtF today (thank you shapinglight!). I gather there's been ranting? Personally I'm fine with it, will post some thoughts if/when I've worked out what to say.)

Well I caught snippets against my will (am a spoiler phobe as you know), so was expecting something pretty awful, but although I guess I can see what people are upset about (am not reading any reviews until I've written my own) it doesn't strike me as such a big deal. *shrug*

I'll get to this one eventually, unless there's a reason to go splurg. Is there?
*ponders* You should definitely splurge on 'Spike: After the Fall', because it is untold shades of amazing (do you have the other Spike comics?). A:AtF is a v. solid story, and think it'll be a lot better when it can be read all in one go instead of little slices. (= I am now IMPATIENT to find out what happens next!)

Um, is that a clear answer at all?

Hee! Yeah, clear enough. I have read some of the Spike comics-- I loved Asylum, and the one where he & Lorn get turned into puppets. I bought the first AatF collection, and I'll probably spring for SatF collection too when it comes out, or after the holidays...

I'm a fan of the solid story/ collection idea. I hate waiting until next month for updates!

Good to know that I am not alone - the, uh, BIG happening was v. impressive IMHO. If you can go there, why not?
