We want change. :) (No offense meant to my Republican friends - I don't really have anything against McCain. Sarah Palin on the other hand... well, she scares me.)

Anyway, lots of good links here, although the page I've continually refreshed today (apart from my friends page, obviously) is Andrew Sullivan. My favourite election story so far is probably this one - voting is what matters, no matter who you support! :)

Hey, Elisi? Random question for when you get up -- the little red flowers on the BBC World News anchors are poppies, right? World War I remembrance? Do they generally wear them all November? I know I've seen them on British public figures before, but I've always found them slightly confusing. (FOr one thing, why do there always seem to be so many more WWI remembrances than WWII remembrances?)

They are poppies indeed, and most people (I've got one on my coat!) wear them from the end of October and until Remembrance Sunday. The tradition was started after WWI, but it's a very inclusive symbol, representing all soldiers really, in all wars, although WWI is obviously the touching point. I think it's a beautiful tradition. :) (More info here.)
