Sometimes it's ok to pimp yourself out. Post a list of your top five fic-favorites you've written, regardless of fandom or the reason you love them. This isn't about the BEST things you've written, but what you LOVE most. Then tag five other people to do the same.
1. Play It Again, Sam. (Sam and Riley turn up in LA between TGiQ & Power Play.) This was my first ever fic, but I love it very dearly still. I said an awful lot of things in this story that I've never managed to put in an essay - about Spike and Angel (and Riley), about their relationships with Buffy, and where they were at towards the end of the show. The writing could be better, but I'm still very pleased with all the meta underneath.
2. The Tale of Spike’s New Princess. (AU post-’The Gift’. Buffy stays dead and Spike and Dawn find solace in each other’s arms. NC-17.) This was my first foray into smut, but - more daunting still - I was trying to write a plausible, but deeply disturbing, love story; in the process exploring unsouled Spike and just how much he had changed/was capable of changing. I'm very proud of this one.
3. Because Cavemen Have Fire. (S/B/A, post-NFA) This plotbunny quite simply ate me up. Since I ship both Spike/Buffy and Spike/Angel (and am rather fond of Buffy/Angel), it seemed only natural to try to get them all together. One day there'll be a sequel, because the facets of these three relationship never get tiring.
4. Not The Last. (The Master and Lucy have a son during The Year That Wasn't. He changes things a lot.) I have written better, and more popular, Who fic, but this one has a special place in my heart. Maybe because it's the most original one, and the only fic where I've managed to create a fully fledged Original Character (you'll get to know him better in the sequel, promise! *g*). Also, through him, I did a lot of interesting things with the Doctor and the Master.
5. My Immortal. (Captain Jack *is* The Immortal. BtVS/TW crossover, Buffy/Jack.) Obviously had to include this one. Partly because Buffy/Jack is the most wonderful pairing - they really are *perfect* for each other at that point in time (think 'friends with benefits') - and partly because trying to integrate the two 'verses is a fabulous challenge and the sort of thing I adore doing. :)

If I could include fic not actually posted, I'd exchange one of the above fics for 'Divided Destiny' (see gorgeous icon) - the sequel to 'Maybe Someday'. It is currently only about 1/3 done - the reason it's taking so long is that it is already the length of MS. This thing is EPIC, and I need to write it all down before I start posting, trust me. Anyway, I always thought of MS as 'A Week of Spuffy', although other things kept interfering, mostly the subplot about Spike, Angel and Illyria fighting W&H, and that subplot then slowly unravelled to become 'Divided Destiny' - it's very long, takes place over several years, has more plot than I've ever attempted before, and is also full of character development and the like. As soon as I've finished 'My Immortal', I promise to finish this story, although I'm beginning to wonder if I'll have any readers left at all?
ANYWAY, I have to run. Thanks for indulging my nattering.

You'll always have me *g*. Glad you haven't forgotten "Divided Destiny" though I am enjoying "My Immortal" hugely.
Speaking of enjoying things hugely I have a book to send back to you :)

That is true! *squishes you*

Oh no, nothing's forgotten. Once this election is over I'm going to pretend I'm doing NaNoWriMo, and try to get My Immortal out of the way. (That story has developed quite the sequel too, btw. Woe.)

Ooooh, I'm pleased you liked it - Psmith is one of the most wonderful characters ever invented. :)

Indeed. I've been rushed off my feet these last few days, but I'm going to go back and bookmark everyone's posts.
Don't have that problem here though won't be reading any of the DW/TW fics or crossovers, I'm afraid).
Heh. Guess you'll just have to take my word for it that Jack & Buffy go together perfectly! ;)

Hee! *points to icon*
I await 'Divided Destiny' with eagerness and the patience that comes from having several WIPs that haven't been updated in two years.
Oh I follow some that are like that too! But I wanted to avoid that for DD, partly because it's so complicated (don't want people to forget what had happened), and partly because I keep revising as I go along. Anyway, I can guarantee that you'll love it (although you might end up hating me! *g*).

Squee! :D
Just the hope that there will be a sequel to Cavemen will keep me coming around!
Aw, thank you. I have around 10,000 words written already, but I really need a plot of some sort...
Looking forward to your epic as well.
I'll get there, promise. Knowing that there will be someone reading it besides my beta is good to know, though! Thank you!
(And your icon so gorgeous. ::admires::)

Eeee! *blushes*
One of these days you all will trick me into watching Dr. Who and then I will really be all up ins. :P
And Torchwood! And then you'll see why Capt. Jack Harkness is perfect for Buffy! (Actually, have you seen this? I can't *begin* to say how much I love that man! *g* Buffy/Immortal4eva!)
What a fun meme... I am mulling on it a little but you'll hear from me, missy.
Yay! It really is a brilliant meme, and I'm making sure to bookmark everyone's posts for a rainy day. :)
