Let's talk Eleven...

So. I am too busy with RL to actually properly process the news that DT will leave, instead indulging in imagining what Dylan Moran would do with the role. For those who do not know who he is, there's a short clip of him doing stand up here (beware - swearing), since I've given up on finding a good clip from 'Black Books'.

Then I mentioned the idea to [livejournal.com profile] copperbadge (who is awesomeness itself!), and he did this:

"THIS! Is a THING! TARDIS! Yes. Welcome. Over there is the shiny thing. Over here is the whoomping thing. We travel in time! And space! And buy jam! Space jam. Now. Bring me a daiquiri."

See? It'd be perfect. He would be the most adorable Doctor, so socially inept and rambly and casually brilliant and rather fondly patronising towards humans.

I even have a tiny little bunny with him and River - but it'll have to wait until RL calms down and I've finished the next chapter of 'My Immortal', which is getting there, honestly. It'll be easier once the election is finished... which reminds me that I have a semi-finished Torchwood election ficlet...

Bother, must run! Entire HOUSE to sort out. Long story, lots of painting involved. Darcy getting grumbly at my procrastination.

Also - Happy Halloween! :D

I'd never heard of Dylan Moran before. What a delightful discovery!

"America is the bad flatmate of the world."

"I sounds like typewriters eating tinfoil being kicked down the stairs." on the German language.

ROFL!!!

You already know that I agree about 1534% with you. One Dylan Moran, there is only one Dylan Moran etc.

Though I'd love to see Christopher Guest do it, if only for the obvious "this TARDIS goes to eleven" joke.

I had no idea who he was, but I like him! I found clips of the rest of the stand-up thing and watched. Hee! My kind of humor. I could get behind him for 11!

I had no idea that DT was leaving. Huh! I have been amused in the past about the fact that even if people liked DT there was still a lot of different factions about who should be the Doctor after him. My two favorite suggestions I have seen so far are Alan Rickman and Hugh Laurie. (I did enjoy the fellow you showed, though) I kind of like the Rickman idea, because it makes me giggle.

Mainly I just get worried about how poor Jack is going to react to the fact the Doctor has changed again while he is still staying the same. *pets her second favorite Woobie*
