It's just such a great show...action, adventure, comedy, romance. They deal with so much, but without being overly dramatic. ::points to icon::
I'd never really gotten into fandoms for anything really. Me neither. I mean I barely knew that fandoms *existed* prior to Buffy (except for Trekkies of course, but they're just sad! *g*).
I had never read a single word of fanfic until just this week when I discovered your LJ. :P OMG! You mean I was your 'first'? *tries and fails to find expression that fits* Just... wow. Can I ask how you found me? /curious
But with Buffy and Spike...their relationship had so much potential and left me wanting so much more that I gladly welcomed fanfic to fill in the gaps. Word! Fanfic feeds a hunger and craving you never knew you had. More addictive than crack I swear! Oh I have to find you recs now - there's SO MUCH good stuff out there... um anything by st_salieri and calove (try Perfect Storm - S5 Spuffy) (both *superb* Spuffy writers, far better than me!). Oh and thedeadlyhook who has one of the best ever post-NFA stories: Does It Have To Mean Something? and it's sequel The Center. Maybe you should watch ATS before you start reading them though... There are lots and lots more but those will have to do for now!
It's been a good time so far. :) (The aforementioned fic was your "Maybe Someday," btw, which I enjoyed immensely. :D Squee! Thank you! :) And I'm just about to start on the sequel to that story as a matter of fact!
