2 things.

[livejournal.com profile] fodian has posted her thoughts on 'Exit Wounds', and they are (as per usual) pretty much identical to my own. Except she wrote hers down and stuff. (ETA: I liked JM's bit. I liked everything, even the stuff that could have been better.)

And The Captain's Blog has been updated for 'Adrift'! Squee! I can't explain how much I adore this quasi-canon thing. (It views the show through the same glasses I do, so it can't fail to please...)

And I am now working on a tiny little (silly!) crossover fic (DW/TW). Watch this space. :)

Don't agree with that assessment of JM's performance myself at all. For John to be in it less, the Gray character would have had to have been played by a better actor.

James was just acting what he was told to act, not coming along and taking over the show, as that review would imply.

You mean a reason why he was so wooden? [livejournal.com profile] kazzy_cee came up with quite a good one - that Gray was wooden because he was so traumatised. That sort of half works, but not completely, because he just wasn't menacing at all, and he needed to be to explain Captain John's actions.

However, JM had to work with the material he was given, which included the enormous plank of wood. It's telling that JM's acting was more compelling than the Gray actor's when all he was doing was standing the background holding a shovel.

Anyway, thanks for linking to that review. A salutary reminder for me why I'm not, and never will be, a TW fan.

Well I shall happily keep Ianto all for myself! :)

You're welcome to him.

Forgot to ask; did the comic arrive okay?
