Can't think of anything to write here.

Honestly I dunno why I’m bothering to write this down, but on the other hand it’ll keep bugging me if I don’t.

[livejournal.com profile] fenchurche had this wonderful comment after reading [livejournal.com profile] shapinglight’s review:

Um. So, what you're saying is that apparently we're going to find out that the smile on Buffy's face at the end of "Chosen" was because she'd actually been possessed by some wacky, morality free demon (or perhaps the First), which was smiling because now it had a body and could wreak havoc at will? 'Cause that's the only thing I can think of that would make sense.

Comic!Buffy=Corporeal!First!Buffy is my shiny new theory. It makes sense of everything (and since The First *is* everyone who’s ever died, comic!Buffy *is* Buffy, just with a different agenda. Honestly, we had pod!Cordy in S4 of AtS, so why not First!Buffy? Otherwise it is just pure character assination.)

Anyway, stepping *away* from that theory, here’s my little s8 ending/plotbunny:

At the end - just before magic vanishes for good - Willow blasts Buffy 500 years into the future (any reason will do - revenge/saving her friend/whatever). There she of course ends up on Serenity and meets a certain Captain Malcolm Reynolds. Who is handsome, brooding, morally ambigous, has lost his home, wants to fight the good fight, enjoys verbal sparring, is in love with someone he can’t have - and ex-military and human to boot! She of course is smart, beautiful and can kick ass like there’s no tomorrow. And apparently doesn’t mind a bit of stealing... It’s a match made in heaven. :)

And that’s all. I *might* keep reading, but I really am done arguing now. I mean, what’s the point? /rhetorial question

(Seriously, when the *Torchwood* writers outshine Joss I think it’s time to call it a day. Also, s8 does not have any pretty boys kissing. Actually it has no boys except Xander and Giles. And they should never, ever kiss. Especially not with Jeanty drawing them.)

ETA: Sorry about disabling comments. But I don't have the time, energy or interest to discuss this any further.
