Well that's just... neat!
My mother called me this morning, since - as she put it - she just had to share the good news with *someone*!
Dunno if you have ever heard about it, but there is a competition called 'The Global Battle of the Bands' (GBOB), and this year - out of 3000 bands! - a Faroese group (Boys in a Band) won! :)

Oh and first prize? $100000 and a world tour! *mind boggles*

I have to say that road (while gorgeous!) looks horribly dangerous to drive on!

I *know*! I'm so pleased! (Music is a big thing in the Faroes. There's tons of bands and everyone loves singing etc)
And the roads are v. often dangerous - which is why there are a lot of tunnels through the mountains, and also why people have winter tyres with extra grip/tyres with spikes/chains.
