All Saints. :)
Woke up to the very good news about Joss returning to TV with Eliza. (E Online, Ausellio, TV week). It's like a miracle! I mean listen to this:
“The show was pretty much fully formed,” Whedon says. “I wrote a synopsis, treatment, pilot episode and six suggested future episodes. I made a poster in PhotoShop because I couldn’t sleep.”
That's our Joss! (*quietly shoves S8 under a nearby piece of furniture*) ('After The Fall' can be Lynch's, kthnx?)
ETA: Also the title (Dollhouse) is of course making me wonder about Ibsen refences (The wikipedia entry for 'A Doll's House' in case you're unfamiliar with it.)
And then of course I am also squeeing muchly because
lillianmorgan (!!!!!!!) is coming to visit me this weekend! *bounces* I've not mentioned it before, since I didn't want to jinx anything, but I'm finally beginning to allow myself to believe it.
That also means that I have to run away again and attempt to make the house presentable. You wouldn't *believe* how quickly it all get messy. ::sigh::
Anyway, have a lovely day all of you! *hugs*

Wouldn't be the first time - Cordelia played Nora in "Eternity", remember? I figure they sort of owe Ibsen's ghost after that massacre... and the theme would be appropriate.
(And now I'm imagining that the show will have an underlying theme of in-jokes regarding late 19th/early 20th-century Scandinavian literature, with episodes entitled "Hunger", "The Red Room", "Doctor Glass" and "The Little Mermaid"... well, OK, maybe not.)

I'd completely forgotten that, to be honest, so thank you!

Bwah!

Well for a feminist like Joss...

I wouldn't put it past him, to be honest. *g*

It could certainly prove problematic...
this day (let it henceforth be known as Dollhouse!Squee!Day)
Dude! That's inspired! *laughs* And yes, today is a very special occasion indeed. (Seriously, the title and the concept are giving me all sorts of deep meta-y thoughts about women's roles and how they're perceived, and how the world has changed since Ibsen's play came out. (Then women had *one* role/ideal - now they have a multitude...)

Joss wouldn't be Joss without a feminist message! :)

Thank you! Days and days of fannish talk...
Joss wouldn't be Joss without a feminist message! :)
Indeed he wouldn't! (Actually - maybe that's why s8 feels so 'off'? It's *not* about feminism as far as I can tell.)
