Watched SH this afternoon... and it just doesn't stop being wonderful. I had a tiny bit of meta I wanted to share (about Angel's role, funnily enough. But then I don't think there's a Spuffy side that hasn't been looked at), but I quite simply don't have the time right now. So, instead I'll just give you a few quick links:

School Hard by Spring Summers. Possibly the best (S/B) analysis there is.

I just got so bored... by peasant_. 'School Hard' re-examined, and fabulously so. Spike is *smart*!

Finally (because I really am in a hurry, and don't have time for more links, although I ought to give you more) I uploaded 'Stupid Thing', by Nickel just in case there's someone out there who doesn't have it.

I can't imagine my life without Spike. If I try really, really hard I can imagine it without Buffy or Angel - but not Spike. Thank you Joss!

I am waiting toll I get back from my hols later next month and then I am going on a Buffy-watch marathon .... Yes - I reall NEED to see it all again ... and maybe have a quiet drool from time to time as well!

Sounds like a brilliant plan. Darcy and I did that last year (if you want to read my thoughts, look in my memories under 'Buffy re-watch'). Only got up to The Gift though, so maybe we'll start on S6 at some point...

As to the Buffy watch - yes, I am going to be a good girl and even watch series1 and all of 3!! Some friends and I did this with Blakes 7 a couple of years ago - as we had been tending to just watch the good episodes. But it is good to see the whole picture - and makes you apreciate (in this case) Spike evn more!!

S1 is *adorable* - they're all so young and cute and I just want to pinch their cheeks. I really like S3 (Faith and the Mayor! Yay!), but Buffy's wardrobe is... pretty awful, and the B/A gets rather cloying (the way to watch it is to try to see it from each character's perspective seperately. Does that makes sense?)

I am going to watch season 1 ... 2&3 with interest to see Buffy being shaped ... and Angel ... again as to the whole triangle of that relationship!

It was 6 where I first spotted this gorgeous guy - and "fell in love" - but it was actually 7 was the first season I watched - and just loved it ... and still do.
Funny how everyone's introduction was different. The major turning points for me were FFL and the very end of 'Grave'. S7 was the first season where I was obsessed. :)
