Watched 'Dalek' (1.06) tonight on BBC3 (which was incidentally the ep that really 'won me over'). It really is a lovely episode, and I was enjoying it muchly - and then this exchange happened (shortly after 'The Last Dalek' killed itself):

DOCTOR
I'm the only one left. I win. How about that.
Just... damn! I *have* to run (this is the first moment I've had to myself, and I really shouldn't be here) - but! I am near speechless. And I have newfound admiration for RTD! There might have been actual shivers and jaw-droppage...

He certainly wins in the continuity stakes. I wonder if he plots his arcs more tightly than Joss did and leaves his writers less room to make gaffs?
