I had many of th same thoughts that you did, as well as a few warped thoughts of my own, such as the fact that I would die from squee if the familiar face on page three got puppetized. I may have been trying to design a doll of this ever since. *whistles innocently*
Do you have any idea why Uro dressed the folks in the bar like Angel and Wes. I know this is in a post NFA world (hence Wes is dead), and I didn't even notice it until I saw someone complaining about Angel in this issue. I was all WTF until I noticed the clothes on the two guys on that page. Have you seen commentary/ explanation of that anywhere.
I actually loved Spike's commentary at the end. He's making all these statements about the puppets, Smile Time and Angel while the reader is actually 'in the know'. Then:"I guess Angel did have to deal with the giant laser egg" Why yes, Spike, yes he did. *snicker*
Puppet slash...yeah, 5am is too early to ponder that except to giggle. And now I am off to work. Have a good one.
