The Funny.
st_salieri just bought some Buffy figures and had fun with her digital camera. The result being a hysterically funny photo ficlet that almost made me choke on my breakfast this morning and literally had me in stitches.

The Dark.
shapinglight finished Family Reunion a few days ago, and I’m still kinda knocked out. This is one of the most inventive, original, dark and compelling fics I’ve ever read and I can’t recommend it enough. (Yes there’s a bit of slash - if it wigs you out, just skim those parts - don’t let it put you off reading!) My heart always bled for poor little Connor growing up in Quor'Toth - but compared to being raised by Darla and Spike? Well...

The Pretty.

Yes it's badwrongwicked, but it's also very tender and touching and not flinching away from the wrongness of it.

As I said, it's interesting to explore the paths Spike could have taken under different circumstances. And unsouled he can go either way...

Oh you should be! Spike/Dawn is a kink - for me anyway. I only like it when it's wrong. (I'm broken, I know. *sigh*) You can find the fic here if you want to check it out. Hot and disturbing and kinda poetic. And wrong. Which is of course why it's so attractive...

I think that's the way I ensared most of my readers! ;) But seriously - unsouled Spike is such an intriguing character to play with, esp after he tries to make himself better for Buffy's sake. How much can he really change?
