Have been avoiding meta (want to finish my own essay first even though the writing is SLOW), and am not really interested in fic, but I have been admiring the pretty vids and artwork... all centering around Utopia/The Sound of Drums/Last of the Timelords! Enjoy!

Thanks for this Elisi. I'm showing my age now but I remember the very first episode of Dr Who when he went back to the Stone Age and I remember hiding behind the sofa when I first saw the Daleks, it was very scary for a little girl. I love the new Doctors but my all time favourite Doctor was Tom Baker. He is a true eccentric and does the voiceovers for Little Britain.

If you ever get to watch any of the old episodes you will laugh at what was considered futuristic and now looks very old fashioned mostly phones and computers and as for the monsters. However like the old Star Treks it was the storylines that made them and the new episodes live up to and surpass them.

I hope you continue to enjoy them.

Well I've been *reading* sci-fi for years and years and it's fun to see how people's ideas have changed. But I'd really, really love to see Old Who - now if only I won the lottery...

And it is so wonderful to have something to look forward to - even if I have to wait for half a year.

I'm just barely keeping my head above water these days between Family and Fandom obligations (and yes, who_daily has become an obligation these past few weeks - "skip 550" isn't uncommom *dies* plus keeping tabs on the managing comm for WD and the Torchwood newsletter) but I wanted to say thanks for the comm rec - it is bulging with goodness - and I can't wait to really read and comment on your meta!
