Look what I got!!!!
This is mostly going to be a squee-post, because ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
buttersideup made me the loveliest icon for my WIP 'Maybe Someday'. Isn't it gorgeous? ::does The Numfar Dance of Joy:: It's got the flaming hands and everything! :) Thankyouthankyouthankyou!
Actually, life has been really nice these last few days. Yesterday the weather was lovely; all sunshine-y and warm, so we spent a great deal of time in the garden. Also at midday the parents-in-law took the children away, and Mr. Darcy and I had blissful hours to ourselves! :) In the afternoon we went for a lovely walk in the nature reserve that backs up to our garden (and also provides us with a beautiful view), with was just wonderfully romantic and brought back all sort of memories of when we first met. *nostalgic sigh*
As an extra bonus, when children finally came home they were wearing new shoes (from Clark's!), which made us particularly pleased! Shoes are expensive!!!!
Today we went to Hobby Craft and bought lots of arty-crafty things for the children (and us), so we'll all be very busy making Easter decorations tonight.
In other news I've nearly finished Lynne Truss' 'Eats, Shoots and Leaves' and I absolutely adore it! I never knew, but punctuation is a fascinating and interesting field - and also hysterically funny. I can't remember the last time a book made me laugh so much. Will try to do some sort of proper review once I'm finished.
Was there anything else? Oh - I completely forgot the whole 'appreciation' thing from a short while back, so let me use this opportunity to thank everyone:

My lovely readers: You have no idea how much I appreciate you. I'm still trying to get used to thinking of myself as a writer, but knowing that there are people out there who actually read (and seem to enjoy) what I write makes all my little efforts somehow seem worthwhile. And also your feedback feeds an addiction I never knew I had.

I dream of something like this : I would really like an entire week-end all by ourselves , last time we had this it was last July!!!

And I have no idea where my ideas come from. They just pop up in my head like magic and it feels very odd taking credit for them. Now if only I could come up with an *original* idea and write a best-seller...
