Thanks for the recs, though re-reading some of the tired old arguments about Spike that have cropped up in the soulquest essay have soured it slightly for me.

I've no patience with that 'Spike ruined the show' stuff these days. See icon.

I should have done this. There is no arguing with some people, because the opinions never change.

I'm all cranky now, but it was an excellent essay, nonetheless. Thanks for the rec.

Thing is, people's views are pretty much set in stone now. They're not going to change their minds no matter how well you argue your points.

The only thing to do is remind yourself that they're just bitter because they lost.

It was the Bizarro World version of it, probably.

Did you know that at the beginning of season 5 a group of disgruntled AtS fans who didn't like Spike set up a Yahoo! group to discuss the season where you were literally not allowed to mention Spike at all?

They must have a quiet time the week Hellbound was on.

I agree. I feel sorry for them in a way. After all, we get to have enjoyed the whole show and can look back on it all with fond nostalgia, whereas they're all grumpy and think Spike ruined everything.

Absolutely. Very, very silly of me to engage.

The only thing to do is remind yourself that they're just bitter because they lost.

You may have not meant this for me, but it did help! Thanks! :->

I'm glad it helped. I'm afraid I didn't read your attempt to argue the toss with that very bitter poster. I was too worried about my blood pressure.

Good for you for trying, though.

Thanks for the recs. I always love reading them b/c it brings me back to the show, as I don't own the DVDs yet. :)

thinks back on the last scene of "Showtime." *melts*
