SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!eleventyone!!!!

My 'Spike: Asylum' comic book just arrived! *does the Numfar Dance of Joy*

Now I just need absolute peace and quiet for reading...

ETA: It is just as wonderful as people have been saying! *is very happy and loves Spike*

Oh and just to add some actual content to this post, let me pimp this excellent post by [livejournal.com profile] liz_marcs: The Perfect (LJ) Storm. Go read, even if you've been trying to avoid stuff - it addresses all sorts of things like fandom, the new copy-right law and what might be done about it!

ETA: Awesome post here about why fandom is brilliant! :)

Glad you enjoyed it. Was pretty sure you would. Where did you get your copy from btw? I ordered mine from Amazon and it still hasn't been shipped.

You can snag this one if you like, though I'm sorry to say I don't know who originally made it. Possibly [livejournal.com profile] lilaeth

Do you mean one of the alternative covers for Asylum? Do they reproduce them in the graphic novel?

here's also quite a few pages where the writer goes through the comic page by page and points out background stuff and in-jokes!

Yeah, I'm looking forward to having all that gathered in one place. Brian's been posting them issue by issue on the IDW board (and probably Whedonesque as well, though I don't tend to hang around there much and didn't see them).

Coincidentally enough, one of my first priorities on my trip to New York was to buy a copy of Spike: Asylum. :) (From the Forbidden Planet just off Union Square) I've not actually read it yet, partly because I also bought the other two Spike TPBs and have been reading them in order.

Hey, Elisi, here's what I came up with so far.

As to the third, I'm trying different ways of combining words and pictures, but I'm not satisfied with the results so I'll go on trying. It's very stimulating, because I realized now that I confine myself to the same type of avis and make them a bit mechanically.

A question: what's a TPB?

I'm so glad you like them! I intentionally tried different styles and different coloring to prolong the ogling to give you a choice. :)))

Thanks for the TPB explanation! I often see this abbreviation on IDW comics forum, but I was a bit embarassed to ask there...
