Protests

Too many to count, so I'll just link to the tag on my Mastodon server:

Total attendance at the #protests now estimated by Alt National Park Service at 2.3 million people, with some events on the West Coast still to begin.

I linked to all the protests in all fifty states in my journal, but yes, too many to count. NY had about twenty separate ones alone, in all the cities across the state. And NYC had over 200,000 turn out.

Chicago had over 200,000, as did Boston, Detroit, LA, San Diego, Denver, and so on....we're talking all 50 states, including the Virgin Islands, all the cities, and London, Lisbon, Greenland, various cities in Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Paris...

I'm curious if the other cities protests were as disorganized as ours in DC. It felt a little bit like the organizers expected 200 people to show and didn't know what to do with exponentially more people. They barely even had AV equipment.
