Are there any guidelines for how to rate (porny) fic? Where do the lines go between PG-13, 15, R and NC-17? Any help or thoughts appreciated!

I actually often use the UK 15 rating - has sex in fairly clearcut terms, but no S-M, rape, bestiality etc - which would then make it an 18 - or NC17 if you prefer American terminology.
That's a nice distinction. And would that be the same as an 'R' then? (These terms confuse me no end.)

I don't usually use 'R' - I tend to use '13' and '15' or occasionally I have been known to put 'I think it is a 15 - but if you aren't allowed to think about sex in your country at that age consider it NC17'!! ;~)
