I haven't heard much about the Cup, oddly because I have been watching so many games anything could be spoilery. But I did hear about Wahl's death. Sorry there won't be much reason to keep playing the song -- at least until next year's Women's Cup!

I was out doing some shopping on Saturday and I guess a bunch of Morocco supporters were at a sports bar nearby when they won over Portugal. They were driving through the main street honking and hanging out windows with Morocco flags for more than an hour. 'Twas very festive, albeit confusing until somebody was able to explain what had happened.

He seems to have been THE guy. I really hope there isn't more to it (he was very outspoken against Qatar from what I can gather).

Oh same here. Impish Girl has gotten a job in a pub and was working the night England played (the one where they lost). It's a tiny place but they had four people working because of the match. None of them had any interest in football, so mostly observed the patrons be very excited/angry.
