I meant in the sense that there has been a lot of behind the scenes turmoil affecting the Thirteenth Doctor's run (some of it unavoidable), the BBC has been cutting the budget when it should be spending more on DW (as Moffat pointed out), and a lot of the writing has been "meh" to "poor" to the point that many people just stopped watching or, as in your case, completely disengaged from the show on a fandom level. Yeah, I figured that was probably what you were getting at, but my mind just spun out along a different axis... Because I have watched Six and can easily see all the flaws, and yet I love him. Whereas I might enjoy Thirteen whilst watching it, and then it just vanishes again leaving no trace. They're similar, but opposites.
God, I would love to see someone rewrite that episode with Six... or Nine... or even Twelve. One of the Doctors who'd really rip it apart, anyway. I've sketched out a few above. :)
