Check this out!

You know how you don't have time to read, and you see a really intriguing fic and you'll just have a tiny peek and before you know it you're completely enthralled and you need more!!!? Well that just happened...

The fic in question being [livejournal.com profile] shapinglight's Family Reunion, which has one of the most fascinating AU premises I've ever come across: What if Darla hadn't died 'giving birth' to Connor? What if she loved him and what sort of mother would she be? Oh and Spike never returned to Sunnydale after 'Lovers Walk', which means lots of lovely Spike/Darla! Go, read and get sucked in!

And best of all - it's all finished and we just have to sit back and wait for her to post. So those of you who usually avoid WIPs can safely indulge. :)

*****

And in completely unrelated news, SFX have a poll trying to find out which SF movie is the greatest. They narrowed the selection down to 10 and Serenity is in there! *is very pleased* And it is currently ahead of the rest! :)

I always get a kick out of the devotion fandom has for Joss when polls like this are going on. But you know, Serenity will never EVER be a better movie than 2001, or Blade Runner, or even The Matrix. Heh.

Well, my point is that even if you don't like them, there's no secret the 3 movies I mentioned are great in the way that they are the basis for how sci-fi is made today [hell, The Matrix changed the way MOVIES were made]. The impact they had was stupendous. Meanwhile, Serenity didn't even have an international release. See what I mean?

Ditto - well except for the Matrix (meh!) But Blade Runner - sublime.
