I have really enjoyed your daily posts - today I especially liked the link to the snowy Faroes picture and the article about the view from space. (I was particularly thrilled to see one of them was 'our' astronaut - shame they then got her name wrong over her piece!!)
I have really enjoyed your daily posts I'm glad! :)
today I especially liked the link to the snowy Faroes picture Someone in the comments (on facebook) remarked how they thought it was paper with a coffee stain. ;)

Nicole Stott's husband is Manx, part of a family that includes a couple of surveyors and a local firm of auctioneers.
It seems to have been due to her husband that the Manx government made sure they were regarded as a separate entity from the UK by the International Telecommunication Union, so that we 'own' a patch of space and anyone who needs to use it for a geostationary satellite orbit has to pay us 'rent' - probably called something more technical.
If my memory serves me rightly the 'slots' allocated to individual countries are not necessarily directly above them - and ours is somewhere over the USA!

Inwardly and outwardly.
On a serious note, it was a hard year. We are still experiencing the repercussions.

Ah well. It seems 2021 is just going to carry on where 2020 left off, which is... not surprising to be honest.
