Like the person who wrote that tweet said I hope people are getting organized to fight that rule about mandating kids to go back to school. That's ridiculous!

I just couldn't believe it! (OK, that's not true, I can totally believe it.)

And then they'll do a U-turn, because they always default to the worst possible option and then have to be pressurised into doing the decent thing and it's SO MUCH WORK.

And I'm on the very edges of things and highly privileged. :(

I can’t see how they will be able to fine parents. You are allowed to homeschool your children legally - you don’t even have to follow the National Curriculum. I suppose you’d have to remove the child from school registration though so that might be a problem.

Oh they love to fine parents! And I doubt everyone will WANT to home school, that is a lot of work. :(

When I first read of the murder of Archdeacon Smallman's daughters I was so very sad for her (as I would have been for any mother, of course).

When I heard what those police officers had done my blood boiled - that is just appalling.

But I also thought they might find it harder to escape justice and public outrage because here is a woman who will not be afraid to speak out, and is, in so many ways, part of The Establishment - well the Established Church anyway. There are no excuses that they can come up with that will fob off Mina Smallwood or those who care for her and support her - not this time. At least I hope not.
