Today we went for a walk which was a lot more Climbing than I had anticipated and took the whole afternoon. I am v tired. However I came across this and well - how could I not share?

I didn't think of it like that, but yeah, getting a vaccine together in a year IS a lot like landing on the moon...quite a feat and a touch of a miracle.

I love that oral history, fascinating. Though it's interesting that it skipped over some of details of how the Oxford/AZ deal got made (the Gates influence, the phone conversation between the director and an AZ head honcho.)

I think a lot of people don't realise that AstraZeneca doesn't specialise in making vaccines, but it stepped up to try and fill the gap.
